Michael Bolinsky has been hired to be an assistant principal at Quakertown Community High School. He will be taking the place of Jennifer Carolla, who accepted a position in the East Penn School District.

Mr. Bolinsky has been an assistant principal at William Allen High School in the Allentown School District.

“His success is finding success in the life of his students,” QCHS Principal Mattias van 't Hoenderdaal said of his latest hire. “I am very confident he will add great things to the district. He’s had success and achievement in previous positions, and I’m certain he will continue that trend in Quakertown and make a difference in the lives of our students.”

He joins an assistant principal team that includes Adam Dinney, Kim Finnerty, and Jason Magditch.

“I thoroughly appreciate the opportunity,” Mr. Bolinsky said. “My passion for education goes back to when I was in high school and had some great teachers, coaches, and principals to give me direction as a student and in life. I approach each day on the job with the mindset of doing something to impact the students, faculty, and overall school community in a positive way. ”

Mr. Bolinski is married with two children. His hobbies include anything related to sports, health and fitness, the outdoors--fishing/hiking/camping, and spending time with his family.

A graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor's degree in Education, he later attained two master's degrees in Education Development and Strategies and Educational Leadership.

His first job in education in 2002 was as a high school social studies teacher at William Allen. He later became Dean of Students before advancing to assistant principal in 2014.

“As I was able to travel through college and secure my first job in education it became clear that I was meant to work in this field to have a chance to connect with and influence students in the same manner I was years ago,” he said. “The past 20 years are full of some great memories.”
