Ty'Lain Rotenberger: UBCTS Student of the Month

Ty'Lain Rotenberger is the Upper Bucks County Technical School's Student of the Month for November.Ty'Lain Rotenberger, a Quakertown Community High School senior, has been named Student of the Month for November at Upper Bucks County Technical School.

Ty'Lain is a first honors student in the UBCTS Construction Technology program.

Last school year, Ty'Lain placed first at the SkillsUSA District Competition in Job Skill Demonstration A, and advanced to the SkillsUSA State Competition at Hershey. This year Ty'Lain will compete again in either the Job Skill Demo or Building Construction competitions with the hopes of making it to States again.

In October, Ty'Lain was selected to represent SkillsUSA District 11 as the student speaker at this year’s Annual Leadership by Example Breakfast, attended by more than 100 regional leaders in business and industry.

M&W Precast of Ottsville employs Ty'Lain as part of his Cooperative Education Program. He has been working at M&W as an entry-level construction assistant since August. Ty'Lain’s main job responsibilities include setting up wall panels for concrete pouring, troweling concrete, and cutting and building specific items for the building department.

After graduation, Ty'Lain plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology for four years and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
