I’ve always believed that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about impact. And while it’s important to stay rooted in our local work, sometimes we need to step back and ask: What if this mattered beyond our walls?
Recently, I had the chance to do just that.
I was honored to be selected as a Google GSV Education Innovation Fellow—an opportunity I’m still processing with gratitude and excitement. This Fellowship, created by Google for Education and GSV (Global Silicon Valley), brings together a small group of district leaders from across the country who are driving transformational change. Not surface-level improvements or “nice-to-haves,” but real, system-level shifts.
The goal? To reimagine what public education can be—then do something about it.
