Weight Lifting and Speed & Agility

Two highly certified instructors are ready to guide your athletes through off-season weight lifting and a speed-and-agility camp. These programs are FREE to Quakertown athletes.  Please take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

Tom Brader runs a speed and agility camp two days during the week and also creates specialized camps for teams that request the service. He has run specialty camps for baseball and football. Email him at [email protected] and he will arrange days and times to meet with your team.

George Banas runs the strength training program for athletes in the high school. Please contact him with any questions regarding the program for each team. Open weight room times will be available, please contact him with any request. The summer off-season schedule will have opportunities for Track, Cheer, Baseball, Basketball, Wrestling, and Football at this time.  Email him at [email protected].  

The tracking of individuals has recorded some athletes gaining 30 pounds on their max bench press and 60 pounds on their max squats - serious gains! Overall, QCHS athletes can benefit if more teams participate in an Off-Season weight lifting program. In-season programs are excellent, but the off-season builds in-season champions.

It is no secret that athletes who possess speed, agility, and strength are far superior to athletes who don't develop these physical attributes! We have the programs to develop these three areas but we must take advantage of them. Please reach out to Tom and George and get your team/athlete on both programs if you have not already implemented a similar game plan.
